Mr Black was referred to us by another happy customer, looking at generating his own electricity – has a good sized roof space, so knew he’d be able to take advantage of this with solar panels.
We visited Mr Black to survey his property and discuss the available options, providing information about how the panels would work, our recommended location for them, where Mr Black would prefer them to be located and how many would fit on the available roof space
We recommended 10x DMEG 405w Solar Panels to be fitted to Mr Black’s east and west roof spaces to receive maximum generation benefits from his system. We also recommended adding battery storage to take advantage of the excess generated electricity.
Customer is storing the majority of his excess electricity in his 2x Dyness Storage Batteries – but has also signed up for the Eon Smart Export Tariff to ensure he’s paid for anything that is exported back to the grid… this ensures the customer is truly maximising the potential from his Solar Panels.
Basically the Smart Export Guarantee (SEG) is a tariff operated by the various energy suppliers such as British Gas, Octopus, Scottish Power, Ovo Energy, EON etc. hey will pay you for exporting unused electricity back to the National Grid. The amount they pay you varies depending on their own current individual tariffs.
