Solar Panels Installation in Worksop, Nottinghamshire
Mr Field was referred to us by another happy customer, he had a new property with a large roof space facing South East. Planning to purchase an electric vehicle in the future – generating his own electricity to power the home and export any additional electricity under the Governments Smart Export Tariff was a key interest for Mr Field.
We visited Mr Field to survey his property and discuss the available options, providing information about how the panels would work, our recommended location for them, where Mr Field would prefer them to be located and how many would fit on the available roof space
We recommended 21x DMEG 405w Solar Panels to be fitted to Mr Field’s south-east facing roof to receive maximum generation benefits from his system. We also recommended adding battery storage to take advantage of the excess generated electricity – this is something Mr Field may add in the future though.

As the customer doesn’t currently have battery storage and hasn’t purchased an electric vehicle just yet… This large system will exporting quite a lot back to the National Grid, it made good sense to Mr Field to ensure he wasn’t doing this for free! and signed up for the Smart Export Tariff.
What is the Smart Export Guarantee?
Basically the Smart Export Guarantee (SEG) is a tariff operated by the various energy suppliers such as British Gas, Octopus, Scottish Power, Ovo Energy, EON etc – they will pay you for exporting unused electricity back to the National Grid. The amount they pay you varies depending on their own current individual tariffs.
